To be able to attend these courses, delegates need to be doctors, dentists or registered nurses.
We will check for GMC (for doctors), GDC (for dentists) and RN (for nurses numbers) registration details prior to payment.
We are happy to train foreign delegates, as long as you have evidence of a degree qualification. It is up to you to check whether you would be allowed to practice these treatments independently in your home country.
After booking a course, we will contact you for payment. Courses can be made payable by cheque or by transferring money over the Internet. All payment must be made prior to attending the course, as payment cannot be made on the day.
Up to a month before to course date, no charge is given, you will just be charged to pay admin fees of £20.
Between a month and 2 weeks before the course date, you will be required to pay 50% of the course fee.
Two weeks before the course date, you will be required to pay the full fee - as it will be very difficult to fill your place on the course. If another candidate is found to replace you, the charge will be reduced to 50% of the course fee.
All our courses are accredited by Hamilton-Fraser insurance. This means that following full participation and attendance of the course together with the successful completion of a short examination at the end of it, delegates will receive a certificate which will allow them to obtain professional insurance (indemnity) to immediately incorporate these new skills into their practice. i.e. they can start working immediately.
All of our courses are led by tutors with specialist training in aesthetic medicine and all of whom enjoy successful practices and have considerable experience under their belt.
The course will cover the theory, the pharmacology and the practical application of the subject together with a discussion of side effects and complications and their treatments, giving you the confidence to incorporate these treatments into your practice and administer the treatments to your patients.
There will be a practical session in the afternoon where candidates get to practice carrying out the treatments following a demonstration for the course leader.
Each course can serve a maximum of 8 delegates per date to ensure that you will receive individual attention and supervised practice.
Two weeks prior to the course, an information pack will be sent out by email. It is highly recommended that you read this and familiarise yourself with the literature.
We will provide lunch and refreshments for course candidates. Please notify us if you require any specific dietary requirements.
It is preferable for candidates to bring their own models to the courses; this results in no extra charge. Models must not be pregnant or breast-feeding or on aspirin, warfarin or anti-coagulant medication. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us. AOAE reserves the right to charge a small fee to defray costs if a model needs to be provided.
We also provide information on how to introduce what you will learn into your practice and how to market the treatments and become successful in the business area. We will guide you on how to approach your current and new clinics to begin to start working with them.
We aim to provide continued support and answer questions - clinical or strategic after the course to help you find work should you need assistance or support.
